Yep. I think we are pretty quickly going to get back to normal, where the largest percentage of depreciation happens shortly after purchase (the ol drive it off the lot hit) and then depreciation happens afterwards based on time and mileage. I think there will be a slower/shallower curve once manufacturers stop making certain engines and go to hybrid or electric only, but the days of used vehicles going for more than they were new are over. This may not apply to very limited production runs like the CSL...those will likely command over MSRP for awhile.

The Carmax and Carvanas of the world are taking massive profit hits and are offering a lot less to buy your cars. Your everyday dealerships are starting to look less like ghost towns with their lot inventory.

2021 til mid 2022 was just weird for the market.
