Not the most unique build here, but figured I would share my experience and pay it forward to those who helped me in making my decision.

2023 M4Cx: Ordered from The BMW Store in Cincinnati - They are GREAT. This was my second purchase from this store prior to a relocation and much better than many of the dealerships in my new area.

PCD Experience
  • My wife and I were fortunate to get out of DFW with the recent snow / ice, and basically ended up at the Greenville Marriott for 4 nights. The service there was top notch across the board and was great to have their shuttle to get around while the car was at ECAS. Downtown Greenville is AWESOME. Try Soby's if you have the chance and highly recommend checking out the Grand Bohemian as well.
  • Donnie was our instructor at the PCD and was incredible. I can't say I have a clear favorite of all the events, but the slalom was so much fun. I could not believe the M4C we were driving was not an xDrive model, but only RWD.
  • Slick track was something else too. It's really incredible how "well" xDrive works when Donnie turned it back on the M340
  • Hard to beat being able to push the heck out of someone else's M4 for a few hours too.
  • My wife really enjoyed the xDrive course in the X5's. We were astonished at how there was not a single creek or rattle in our X5 considering the torque placed on the car in some of the sections.
  • Delivery was what I expected and was excellent. Better than what you get at a dealership from a genius in my opinion and some of my next level questions about iDrive were answered. I had about 4 "nicks" to my paint that ECAS pointed out before putting on the PPF. I'd say this was the only single downside to the trip, but after having done the factory tour and seeing how many touch points, how much manual handling is done in production, I am rather impressed there are not more marks at delivery. Some will probably disagree with being agreeable to any defects and I get it, but not going to let that take away from an otherwise amazing experience.
  • Driving over to the xDrive course, we got to see additional upcoming deliveries. Handful of BRG's on X3M, X5, X7, San Remo Green M5, G8x's in Mint, Signal Green, Urban Green. Really cool to see other's Individual Paint orders.
  • If you are on the fence of doing PCD just go for it! No regrets on our end!

The drive back...
  • Somewhere along I-85 in the ATL area where there is a leftmost Peach Pass lane, the leftmost lane of the non Peach Pass lanes comes to a grinding halt from 70ish MPH traveling speed. A white work van stops about 6-8 cars ahead of me. Someone jumps out of the driver seat, and out of their side doors throws 4-5 piece of ladder over the Peach Pass lane into the grassy median. Gets back in the van and proceeds like nothing happened after almost causing a massive pile up. I've driven about an average of 40K miles annually for the last 8-9 years, and this was a totally new one for me. Might have made more sense if the ladders flew off of someone else's truck ahead of the van, but their side doors were open, so who knows what was going on.
  • Some sort of livestock carrying 18 wheeler going 85+ either hit something, or some sort of guts comes out of the truck, for the only precipitation of the trip.
  • Anyone else traveling back to their home state along I-20, the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Meridian, MS was just fine and clean.
  • We split the drive up over 2 days back to TX. I did not use cruise control and did my best to vary the revs over the entire drive back. Let me tell you my right leg feels it today. Was able to keep everything "under" the break-in guidelines and oddly enough pulled into the garage with exactly 1000 miles on the clock at home.
  • I was happy to order "regular" seats after the buckets on my '17 M3. The Carbon Buckets look awesome (and were great for the PCD session), but not my cup of tea for comfort. However, after 14 hours in the car a quick drop of the M4 and getting into my wife's i4 to head to dinner... let me tell you those seats felt like a massaging recliner in comparison.
  • Speaking of seats, I am really happy with Silverstone. I saw these on a Brooklyn Grey model in person and that sold me. I actually like the black door cards vs grey from previous mode years. I went will extended vs. full as I did not want so many light colored surfaces.

Mods
  • Extreme Colors Auto Spa did XPEL Ultimate Plus PPF on the front end, A-Pillars, front roof, doors, and rockers and XPEL Prime XR tint - 35% front and 20% back.
  • My local shop will be doing full XPEL Ceramic Coat. They gave me some TRACWRAP, which ECAS put on any high impact areas for the ride home as a precaution.
  • Ordered this piece https://www.bmwpartspros.com/oem-par...m4ctrim?c=az0x to replace in the blank center console
  • Waiting on my TuxMat's to arrive
