But the digital key to unlock and start the car is no more or less dangerous then using the keyfob. I understand not having remote start on a manual but being able to unlock or start the car with the card key or phone like the automatic makes no difference to safety.
The way I see it is they didn't want to redesign their software to exclude the remote start feature on their app, and online services. They just decided for the minimal people that will get the manual it is easier to just not have it installed and not worry about changing their software.
