The finish is definitely a few shades lighter than the paint but the contrast isn't stark. I just wanted to switch it up after having textured gunmetal on my F82, then satin black on f80, have satin black on gt3rs, satin black on wife's SUV....
And you definitely see a lot more detail which I wanted with these wheels. The pics probably don't do it justice just given the angle of the pics and the sun setting. Here's another pic that maybe better captures the difference.
