There is no difference between the suspension or any other chassis components of the base and Competition models.

For this generation, BMW has changed the formula. The key differentiating features between the two models are just the type of transmission and engine power. The only other distinguishing characteristics are aesthetic - slight variations in the finish/color of a few exterior parts. And even those can be swapped when ordering.

In other words, if you want the base model with an automatic transmission, simply order the Competition model with Extended Shadowline deleted. Assuming they are available in your country, you could even specify the 824M wheels. Of course, there’s no way to delete the extra engine power, but I suspect that won’t bother you.
