I've seen an E9x M3 with a handful of nails in the oil sump. Like proper big 2-3 inch nails. Apparently the owner of the car pissed off his wife (caught with another woman or something like that) and she threw in a handful of nails into his pride and joy thru the oil fill hole.
Luckily for him, she was not very mechanically minded. The nails went right into the oil pan and did zero damage on the way down. They were big/heavy enough not to clog up the oil intake tube also. The mech doing the oil change was shocked when a nail stuck out of the oil drain hole, removed the oil pan and found a lot more nails inside. Lol
