What I'm worried about is if the M3 will be available with the manual, why not make the M340i available with the manual? It doesn't make any sense. The new M3 will assuredly use another turbocharged I6. Knowing what we know about the G20, I'm afraid there will not be a manual G80.
Or if I'm thinking half glass full, maybe there will be a manual M340i a year or two into production of the G20. I'd personally prefer an M340i, but would be fine with the M3 assuming it comes in a manual. It's just a shame that BMW is dropping the manual completely except for their non-US budget cars.
