My Client Advisor swears the G80 M3 will have a 6MT option
My client advisor told me that the next M3 will have a manual transmission. He reached out to the BMW marketing team to see if he should buy out his F80 after it comes off lease, thinking it will be the last of the 6MTs. He was told "Don't worry about it. You don't need to buy the car."
This same source told me in 2015 that the F90 M5 would have AWD, for whatever that's worth.
