It has terrible feel. M xDrive PC (passenger car) works with this basic (read extremely over simplified) logic:
4WD: Bias 0/100 until rear longitudinal or lateral tire slip detected, 20/80 predictive bias based on speed, load, navigation data, KAFAS/LIDAR. Up to 100% can be sent to the front axle as needed.
4WD Sport: Bias 0/100 until rear tire slip or roll axis exceeds a predetermined threshold. Up to 100% can be sent to the front axle as needed. Above 200km/h, front axle is inhibited until roll axis exceeds a pre-determined threshold.
2WD: F/R distribution inhibited unless Pre-Crash is triggered.
