Definitely a niche but the next GT will remain a coupe only with the SL occupying the space that the GT Roadster had. The SL will essentially be a more comfortable and liveable version of the next GT which also will share the SL's new and bespoke platform, although will be front-mid engined still. The SL nameplate is just too historic and important for MB to throw away.
