As I understand it, (i) Lemetier has first-hand knowledge that this is Miami and/or (ii) saw the unprocessed, raw photo, while the instagram account might have some color-picker-to-individual app that printed out "Mexico" when they ran it on the final version of the photo.
It's also not the first time that Lemetier was right about the individual color of a BMW photo shoot car, and BMW social had to correct their statements afterwards.
Not saying you're wrong, just that what BMW Social says shouldn't been taken as gospel and the press photos routinely are color-corrected to a large degree.
