Im the hesitant type, I have already 200+ runs (digs & 40-130) with my car tuned in the span of only 2k miles. If drag mode was turned on the entire time i'm not so confident my car would still be on the stock transmission.

Given that all of the safety features are turned off in drag mode, I would use it sparingly. Otherwise, I'd start looking into a built trans.
