Sorry to hear about to your troubles, having some dealer tech tinker with my brand new door panel and mechanics would not bode well for my OCD, so I commiserate with you.
Question, doesn't the vehicle allow you to lock/unlock the doors with the physical key blade, in the event that the battery dies or any of the electrical system fails?
I'm not suggesting that you don't eventually get the underlying issue resolved but that might work as an interim solution.
