You should be able to select both these items to do what you want. My radio goes direct to CarPlay when I start the car. Just a slight hesitation as the car shifts from the ready state to engine running. Waze also comes up at the same time.
Same lights come on automatically when I get near the car & it reads the fob.....did you ever set these things up in the settings screen?
