I'll repost here what I had posted in the original thread:

First, it just shows how important it is putting the right spec tire on car, it can make a huge difference.

Second, it is interesting to see that BMW focused more on dry grip at the expense of wet grip for the G8X. They did the opposite with the F8X OE tires.

Third, WOW ~2 seconds difference per minute lap on the dry vs the already quite good standard PS4S

. The standard PS4S was already confirmed as being over 1 second faster than the star spec PSS on the F8X. Just shows how much of the G8X performance gains is in the tires

Fourth, I would have loved to try these star spec 19"/20" PS4S on my M4cs, but it will be gone before I have a chance to do so
