Yes you have to enable it in the car before first use (then you don't need to do it again). Let me go to my car and get the steps for you. Hang tight friend
Edit: Hit the home button then click on:
Car -> settings -> general settings -> data privacy (scroll down for this. It's below reset trip data and above mobile devices) -> from here you can select individual services but because I'm a good BMW owner I have "all services including analysis" selected.
