Somehow the 6MT and iDrive controller position looked better in this setup. It also appears the center console uses nicer matte finish buttons layout instead of glossy version, hopefully it gets updated in LCI G8x! |
If I'm not mistaken, the 6MT M3 matte finish center console comes from the base 3-series sold with a manual transmission in some parts of the world (obviously not North America). Just the SETUP, M MODE, and M Exhaust control button are different from those ultra-base model 3-series.
The M3 Competition glossy center console (with automatic) comes straight out of the M8 and X5M/X6M.
