Note that the iDrive controller moves rearward to make room for the shift boot. Therefore 6MT cars won't have the silly "M3" logo sitting on the center console where the iDrive controller will live.

Somehow the 6MT and iDrive controller position looked better in this setup. It also appears the center console uses nicer matte finish buttons layout instead of glossy version, hopefully it gets updated in LCI G8x!
