Your hypothetical is not reality.
- The M8 received much praise. If they made the G8x to look more like a mini-M8 with regular-sized grills, then there would not be so much complaints.
- On the other hand, had they made the M8 with gigantic grills, you can bet people would have expressed similar opinions as they have with the G8x photo leaks.
