Prior to any firsthand experience, I considered the buckets an absolute must. They are among the best looking seats available.
After driving an M3 for a day with buckets...hard pass. They are supremely comfortable and offer all the support you can imagine, but ingress/egress (moreso egress) was the dealbreaker. We got this car as a beater for running errands and not having to be picky about where it was parked. Getting out of the buckets when parked in tight spaces was a no-go, and my wife and I are both fit.
We have several other cars with buckets and/or proper racing seats. Didn't care to have the same experience in a daily. But they sure do look nice.
