Good news is that ASD can be turned off with BimmerLink. But I would have loved the valve controller function. Maybe an app upgrade in the future?

BimmerLink lists the g8x as a supported platform
Do you know if your obd connector is compatible for the g8x? It may fit properly but the coding will not work if it's not designed with this car in mind
BimmerLink has a list on their site of which obd connector works with this car
Also, are you afraid this could brick your ecu? I want to do it as well for a valve controller use-case but I'm paranoid I'll brick the ecu or void a warranty
