Did you notice any increase in the sound? Only reason I'm considering an entire intake system is for more sound (not concerned with the performance gains). Not expecting a simple filter swap to match the sound increase of a tube change/cone filter, but curious if there is any noticeable difference.

I would say it's minimal.
It's funny, maybe it's me, but my wife's X3 M40 sounds louder on accelerating than my G80.
If you want more sound, I'd say get the cone setup. |
100%. My wife had an X3 M40 and now has an X3MC. It was louder than my M3C and her new car.
