Agreed. Emails work even better when you get the other party to reply or communicate using the same so that it stays on record. Phone calls are almost hearsay. It would be nice if you start to exchange communications via email with your service manager, just in case there are questions of what was said in the future (like dates).
Hope this gets resolved in a timely manner.
