I recall reading somewhere there is a feature to have the car move forward by 1-2 mph and it requires you pressing the brake and throttle (could be mistaken) - I will see if I can find that info.

That being the case then I would guess it would remain completely stationary if you are not pressing the throttle.

I haven't driven a BMW with ZF so can't say for sure.

EDIT: Found what I was referring to, it's called the Low Speed Assistant, see excerpt from owner's manual:



So it seems like if you follow that combination, then yes the car will move forward in 1st and 2nd gear, but if you don't do it, then it remains stationary?

Maybe someone who has a M3CP/M4CP can comment
