I was at SOW Sunday running CW (Saturday was CCW)! It was my second track day on my practically stock G82 with PSI Midpipe, but I've been to SOW and regional tracks many times in my F80.
I usually start at 28 cold and then adjust to 33-34 hot after the first 3 laps. On street tires, every 3-4 laps I do a cool down lap, minimal brakes, minimal speed to cool the tires a bit, especially if it's starting to get greasy. Monitor your temps and pressure immediately after each session.
Anyway, SOW is a really great technical track, and even better now that it's been re-paved! Try CW next time to approach the chicane from the other side... very interesting!
I managed a 01:27.79, beating my modified F80 M3 CS by almost 2 seconds. The G8X is GREAT on the track!
