It certainly sounded like a muscle car - peak American V8 ferocity. Loved it, despite that normally not being my thing.
I've now watched several ZL1 review videos and give massive kudos to Chevy for building it. And released way back in 2017 ... if not for the interior and visibility (and branding, let's face it), I don't see how anyone could rationally choose an F82 over it. Performance-wise, it does it all.
Happy that we now have the G8x that offers ZL1 performance in a BMW M package. If not for the controversial looks, this would clearly be the modern E46 M3 - instant classic.
I wouldn't be surprised if the ZL1 was a benchmark for the dev/engineering team.
