The wheels on the M5 (20 inch) have too many crannies. A pita to really get clean. I clean them at wheel swap over (winters on same rims, I have two sets). I have my summers all cleaned up and ready to go for new tires. I bring the rims in as clean as possible. So if those MFs damage the rims it is easily seen. No excuses. That being said, I just clean the rims with fingers and sponge and a good seat. All the different sprays I have tried cannot get the dirt off, at least not in my experience, the only thing that does it is contact with a wet soapy sponge. The brake dust is brownish so it shows up on the black parts.

Anyone remember those "CleanWheels" inserts? LOL....back in the day I guess ventilation for the rotors was not a 'thing.'
