This is true. I'm taking delivery at the Performance Center Wednesday. My dealer wasn't able to secure a delivery date until after my stop sale (RAM) was closed, 10 days after being checked into the Greer VPC. I monitored Alex Bond's tracking tool and notified my CA the moment I saw my case had closed.
