Wheels are not going to be our only track related problem in the near future. Track oriented brake pads for the G80/G82 are non existent for the foreseeable future. These cars share their brakes with the X3 & X4M's, and X3 & X4M Competitions, and possibly several other of the heavier models as well. None of these cars is driven frequently on the track, and as a result pad manufacturers have not invested in developing track oriented pads for these vehicles. This will hopefully change in the future, and not a moment too soon, but for now we seem to be limited to BMW OEM (NON track oriented) pads. If anyone knows otherwise I hope to stand corrected.
The parts list for the G80/G82 has now been released to the dealerships, and the parts #'s are:
Front: 34-10-8-093-705
Rear: 34-20-8-093-728
They are available at several aftermarket BMW parts suppliers, and the best prices I have found are Front $179, and Rear $372. Ouch! This is going to get even more expensive, real fast.
