If you're tracking with stock suspension I would just use the OEM wheels with more track oriented tires
The G8X uses a different bolt pattern and has totally different offsets. It'll be a while until the correct widths and offsets come out in affordable setups for track use.
I imagine eventually some giant wheels will fit as it seems to have lots of room under the fenders, but how long until we can actually buy those wheels? And for the early adopters, is it worth it to be the guinea pig?
In the F80 CS we slapped some RE71 tires on the stock wheels and managed a 2:06 at WGI... I would not worry too much about them.
