I had an E60 535i manual before my M3. If BMW could get back to an M5 that is as agile as the E60 AND has a manual, I'd consider the M5. Since they won't ever make this, G80 it is for me.
Also, I had a loaner 5 series a while back. That car felt surprisingly cramped compared to my F80 M3. Was disappointed at what a step back it seemed compared to my E60.
