i pretty much disagree with everything you said....especially since youre calling my wife 'manly'...but, manual transmissions rock. theyre pretty useless in Atlanta traffic. actually...worse than useless, theyre annoying. i understand the 'connectedness' of driving an MT. but lets be real....how many of us know how to heel-and-toe on a downshift? not many, otherwise manufacturers wouldnt have put in that autoblip, right?

there's gotta be some mid-ground between 'Autos/DCT's are faster' and the 'save the manatees' purists, no?
