The biggest shit fest will arrive down the line, when BMW finally gets their heads together and does a proper LCI without this ugly design aspect for the front, leaving a lot of people who stuck with the brand anyway with an ugly looking car. Overall, whoever approved this should get fired right away. The designer is half the problem. The person who actually said this is awesome needs to go find a different line of work, right away.
