Would you say the paint shows any texture or graininess when looking at it up close out of the sun? You know, a lot of lighter metallic paints do retain some of their depth even in cloudy weather. For instance, my recent loaner was in Phytonic Blue Metallic, and the paint had this depth effect going on regardless of the weather, although it's considered an ordinary zero charge color. In contrast, my brand new M4 in Tanzanite Blue II - a highly praised individual paint - utterly lacks any details and has the dullest navy appearance in day-to-day use...
