So, I thought I would follow-up, I didn't go with a black plate because it would look weird on Tanzanite, so I got a replica of the 1976 Bicentennial plate, blue with gold lettering. I blacked out 3 numbers on my plate but left the other 4 so you can see the gold letters. I'm happy with it. Really close to the original plate design. Got it off of Etsy from a seller that specializes in plates like this.
