i think you just want "a car" its best to wait. there will always be EVs that get better every year. there will always be SUVs. But if you want a drivers car... you should probably just pony up the money and buy now before it gets out of reach.
I think it's one thing to buy a desirable/limited car over MSRP, especially the ones that will not be made for much longer (ie ICE and/or manual). It's a completely different story when people are paying over MSRP for a Kia Telluride. At least you have a chance that the car will appreciate.

For what it's worth, I sold my truck for almost $4k more than what I paid for it with 14k more miles. I'm happy with the deal.
