I agree with others that a cdv delete will help and the transmission needs time to break in. The 1M and F80 both got better with miles and I’m sure the G80 will also. Hell, my 991.2 GT3 needed break in miles before shifts felt right...
Moral of the story... No one should skip the 6MT because of the 1-2 shift. It may be the last opportunity to enjoy a manual in a modern BMW and these imperfections might just end up being what we reminisce about in 20 years!
