Obviously, there is play in that. A hundred over would be fine. But, I
did time the dealer visit. When I got to 900 miles, I made the appointment for a week later, knowing I'd put 100 miles on it easily. 1000 mile rule has meant I've had zero engine issues in any of my 30 or so cars--the majority of which were high performance.
