Looking at global data, passenger cars contribute 10-15% of CO2 emissions. Not insignificant, and change isn’t a bad thing, but I do wonder how much of this is spin to put the burden on the consumer while industry can continue business as usual. Kind of like what the plastic (petrochemical) industry does with recycling.
