Doesn't the business model of cruise lines depend on being free of any consequences for their environmental impact, paying living wages, etc.? Without that, they couldn't survive. Also, I remember hearing something about how they contribute nothing to the economies of the places they dock during voyages (e.g., no hotel or restaurant revenues) because they just show up, make a mess, and then leave.
