Was just an observation. I would think as shop cars they would lean more towards getting cars that majority of people would buy which will be the Auto.
Using a 6MT as the platform to test power products will most likely create limitations for those with comps/auto as their tranny upgrade and hence supported power levels will be more limited.
Again, not hating on 6MT
