AMG has world superiority in electrified FI performance engines as proven by many years of total F1 engine dominance. They know the technology for sure and I expect the C63 engine to be best in class.

But...compare today’s F1 engine with any of the pure ICE V8s, V10s and V12s before it and it’s an enthusiast tragedy. And that’s a six cylinder. The 4 cylinder FI F1 era was more defined by its supreme drivers and dangerous conditions than the engine character.

A four banger is no go for me. Rather buy a Taycan or a lightly used NSX when electrification is the only choice. Here’s for hoping BMW stay with an I6 as smallest M hybrid ICE engine. A 4 worked in the E30 but in a car twice it’s weight and size, no thanks.
