I don't disagree with you, as nothing happens except fluid changes. But, there was a change in the gauges. And, a dozen+ dyno tests show crank HP is ~ 550-560. Didn't show that high before.
BMW always underrates their power by a good margin. When I had my G05 X5 50i there was an OTA update which changed the sport gauges akin to what you're describing but it didn't make any more power.
