I have a SMB F80 CS and I think it will work beautifully.
Blue and red and analogous colors in color theory and on the color wheel. Also, the purple HUE in SMB will work even better with red than the dark blue tones will.
Good luck getting it approved OP! Don't take no for an answer, I had a hell of a time getting fire orange approved.
