I bought my E92 because I loved its looks, V8 engine + the manual and I did get to do a Euro delivery! It was a great weekend car but for a daily DCT would of been a much better choice. I sold to car to a forum member when it was 3 years old with 5k miles.
If not tracking, the benefits M car has are the looks (if you like the way it looks), more power and still being able to get one in manual transmission.
Having said what I said, if they do something about the front end, I would buy one in a heart beat.
