M340 550M 760M and other bullshit just made for profit for BMW. you can sell a non M car for more and the M car for more, since there is a nonM Mcar.
Exactly my point - confusing as hell and took away thee purity of M badge and tricolor.
E39 and e34 540 were not slow, neither was 330 e46 by that time standards, but it was not an M whatever. Just a car with appropriately labeled motor.
This my biggest problem with 340M.
It is a ridiculously successful enterprise tho, noone can argue with smth that makes money.
On the road everyone will be OK with a 300hp
Everything else is "Who's is longer" game.
