I think that's a good question, especially over a large track like the Ring. Does the power advantage outweigh the extra weight, the automatic tranny, and the crappy brakes? I would say no, but you never really know. The G8X is what 6 or 7 years newer, you would think that with the pace technology advances, it should be faster around the track. I hope to be surprised. It would be cool to see the M3 the leader of the pack again.
