An interesting observation... There is definitely a love/hate reaction to the current M3/M4 grill, among the BMW enthusiasts in this forum. Some love it. Some hate it. And some use their hate of the grill as a rationalization for buying an F8X earlier as an imaginary good decision (while they subconsciously kick themselves for not waiting, and buying a G8X which is superior in almost every way).
That being said, I find many non-BMW enthusiasts and non-BMW owners who are overall car lovers to be VERY complimentary about the G8X. I bet almost half of these people ONLY cited the front grill as awesome looking, beautiful, etc. I've had the car backed into the garage and had people walking (or in one case, driving) by, say, "I absolutely LOVE the front of your car!"
