Wonderful video. The enthusiasm came through! It was especially gratifying to see Sam Smith's cameo.
The veneration of the M3 and the claims of it's legacy, almost completely ignored the turnaround that BMW engineered with the New Range cars—especially the 2002 whose impact on the company was far greater and in fact saved the company.
And why did I get the feeling they had to consciously avoid mention of the E21 320 Turbo race car? Was its lightweight success and the drama it brought to racetracks a threat to the premise of this video? Those of us who owned, drove, and loved BMWs even before there was a Motorsport Division know just how thrilling those cars were to watch. They deserved at least a passing mention, like the 2002!
