You are right but it’s still a poor excuse of not being able to code it to a car that cost so much... it is just an M, not a CS or CSL hence it is also a luxury and comfortable car which has to have all the latest gadgets. Back in the days you could get a manual 5 series with either a 6 cylinder or V8 and it was available with all the latest BMW tech. And guess what, I can guarantee you that the manual take rate was much less on these than it will be on a 6 speed G80 M3! Also they do have a dumb down radar cruise with lane keep assist which they could have easily implemented on the current car. All the excuses and explanations at this point are lame at best and it’s just weird how bmw is choosing to save every little penny on something simple like that! With the current trend that bmw is choosing to go with it will be not much longer when people will figure out better alternatives. Look at Cadillac, it’s basically knocking on Bmws rear quarter panel and might soon be ahead of them.
